R. Kelly to grace Windhoek Music Festival

American R&B sensation, Robert Sylvester Kelly, affectionately known by his stage name, R. Kelly, will take to the stage as the main artist of the 2016 annual Windhoek Draught Live Music festival slated for Nov. 25 at the Hage Geingob Stadium in Windhoek.


Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL), founder and main sponsor of the event, announced this on Tuesday in a press statement.
According to NBL National Marketing Manager Rosemary Shippiki, the Windhoek Draught Live Music Festival has become one of the most anticipated events on the Namibian entertainment calendar following the participation of popular acts like American group, Boyz II Men and Nigerian pair, P-Square which has drawn thousands of fans from all corners of the country and abroad.
Shippiki said, “We believe in creating memorable moments for our consumers that money cannot buy. Music is a great vehicle to connect with consumers and create an opportunity for them to socialize with friends.”
“Some Namibians actually travel to South Africa and abroad to attend music festivals and we identified the need to create opportunities for our people to also enjoy these events on their home soil,” she added.
The American singer, songwriter and record producer is known for a collection of major hit singles including Bump N’ Grind; I Believe I Can Fly and If I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time. Enditem
